Maggie Sottero Shelby Everyday wear unclassified dresses

Hello beautiful brides! Here’s my crazy story: I currently live abroad but got married at home in Texas recently. It didn’t make sense to have the dresses I ordered online shipped to me in Europe to then have to travel with them across the planet to get home to get married! So I just had them sent directly to Texas. This meant I only saw them in-person a couple of weeks before the wedding itself, once I had gotten home to walk down the aisle! I wasn’t sure about so many details of the Big Event and knew the time was going to be short, so I ordered a few gowns in very different styles and vibes so I would have a selection of varied options I loved, on-hand and ready to go. The choice was not easy, but I had my special fairy tale day and will keep the one I wore forever, as a keepsake. So now I am ready to send the others I did not use on to other happy altar homes...

This Maggie Sottero “Shelby” is absolutely stunning. Maggie has discontinued this model so it is impossible to find, rare and GORGEOUS. The Shelby came in a few color combos, this one is “blush and pewter”. See video here!

It’s hard to capture the colors and nuances in these pics, but it is the sweetest palest pink over ivory, with pewter and light blush appliqués. It is such a delicate pink it often looks ivory, but then it catches the light right and you see this sweet color. I was heartbroken this dress didn’t work for me, but I am very long waisted and it just didn’t hit me in the right places. However it can be modified no problem up or down for general too big or too little-ness. The tag says 8 but I would put it closer to a street size 6. *Please note I am either holding the excess material on me here with one hand or clipping it back so that you can get an idea of the correct fit, but it is larger than what you see.* The low back with the appliqués is breathtaking and the design and structure of the gown are surprisingly adequate for support through the bust in front despite the low back. I have a C-cup chest and would have been very comfortable wearing this gown with no bra. The gown also has an internal corset at the low back for support (see photos), which does not have a tie but you can use any tie you would like.

This was a showroom floor model, never left the store, walked an aisle, or underwent any alterations. As per usual with floor samples, it will need a clean and press and may have a couple of tiny places the beading/appliqués need to be stitched down. Otherwise it is a billowing tulle dream looking for its princess!
